DrSim Studio® is an interactive, user-friendly clinical simulation (e-learning) software available in three versions:

• DrSim Studio Free Edition: allows users to import and run virtual clinical scenarios created with DrSim Studio Full Edition. Each scenario enables individual or group medical micro-simulation sessions.

• DrSim Studio Full Edition: includes all features of DrSim Studio Free Edition and allows users to edit and create new scenarios, which can be used for distance learning (CME/distance education).

• DrSim VR: allows users to conduct medical micro-simulation sessions in the Meta Quest 2 VR environment.

• Editable Cases: The powerful editing system allows the instructor to create or modify scenarios simply and instantly. Each scenario can be developed along clinical pathways featuring decision nodes; learners can follow different clinical routes based on the decisions they make during the simulation.

• Distance Learning: DrSim Studio is the only medical e-learning software to offer a high level of interactivity combined with web-based access.

• Flexibility: Access to the Academy allows users to utilize online clinical cases.

• Realistic Setting: The 3D graphics environment generates an animated patient for each scenario set within various environments, complete with everything required to develop the case in real time.

• Interactivity: The simulation evolves in real time, following different clinical pathways based on the diagnostic and therapeutic choices made by the learner.

• Multimedia Content: Instructors can upload and present real multimedia files (video, image, audio) to the learner, allowing the creation of highly realistic scenarios that enhance learning.

• Editor: An intuitive editor allows extensive customization of the scenario: from patient information and vital signs to diagnostic tests, as well as the treatments and procedures available to the learner.

• SCORM Compatibility: SCORM packages produced by DrSim Studio can be embedded and distributed through an LMS (Learning Management System) such as Moodle, creating a highly interactive online training course.

• Report: Upon completing each clinical case, an analytical report of the choices made by the learner is displayed, listing all executed actions alongside the corresponding scores assigned by the instructor.

• Diverse Scenarios: During the clinical case creation phase, users can select from various realistic in-hospital or out-of-hospital settings, fully equipped with all relevant medical devices needed to manage the patient in that context.

• Patient Variety: The software allows users to select the protagonist of the clinical case from various patient profiles: child, young adult, adult, obese adult, or elderly individual. Both male and female options are available for each patient type.

DrSim Studio Full Edition features a powerful editing system that allows users to create clinical cases from scratch or modify and expand existing ones. DrSim Studio Full Edition lets you save the clinical scenario as an archive file (compatible with the SCORM standard) ready for distribution on an e-learning platform or a simple web server. This feature easily combines a highly interactive learning environment, e-learning deployment for distance education, and complete autonomy in customization and expansion.

The clinical cases feature a realistic view of the specific environment where the patient is located and where the clinical scenario takes place, a patient monitor displaying physiological waveforms and values, a toolkit of instruments for the physician, and access to medical records, diagnostic tests, and medications. The virtual patient is managed interactively and in real time; learners observe the pathophysiological response resulting from their diagnostic and therapeutic decisions.

The editing system allows the instructor to modify existing cases and create infinitely new scenarios independently, without requiring any programming knowledge. Specifically, the editor enables users to select which diagnostic tests, therapies, procedures, patient inquiries, and customizable actions should be included in the specific clinical simulation scenario—and whether the actions selected by the learner will lead to a subsequent decision node or conclude the scenario. It is also possible to edit texts, images, audio, and video files associated with the selected tests.

The settings for "Helicopter," "Ambulance," and "Doctor's Office/Medical Clinic" are now available. Thanks to this optional package, instructors can create or modify emergency scenarios set in an ambulance or a helicopter, as well as simulate patient management in a doctor's office or medical clinic.
